Terms of service

Last updated: 15 July 2026

These terms apply when you work with SeeMeYah (seemeyah.com), a UK digital company run by Len Johnson. They cover websites, Digital Foundation packages, local SEO, Google Business Profile work, social media and the other services we provide. The short version: we'll be clear about what you're getting and what it costs, you own your own content and domain, and results depend on more than the website alone.

By paying a deposit or asking us to start work, you're agreeing to these terms.

Quotes and starting work

We'll give you a written quote or proposal for the work, including what's included and the price. A quote is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise. We start once you've accepted the proposal and paid the deposit.

Prices, deposits and payment

Setup fee. A deposit, usually half the setup fee, secures your slot and starts the work. The balance is due before the site goes live, unless we've agreed a payment plan in writing.

Monthly fee. Where a package includes a monthly fee, it covers hosting, backups, software updates and support for as long as you're on the plan. It's billed monthly in advance and starts when your site goes live.

Prices are in pounds sterling. We're not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added. If that changes we'll tell you before it affects you.

What's included, and what isn't

Your proposal lists what your package includes, along with any limits on pages, services, portfolio images and revision rounds. Anything beyond that, for example extra pages, a bigger service menu, logo design, photography, ongoing SEO, social content or booking administration, is quoted and agreed separately before we do it.

We can structure and present your policies (deposits, cancellations, prep and so on), but the terms themselves are yours. You're responsible for deciding and approving them.

What we need from you

To build your site we need your services, prices, policies, location, booking details and photos, and your sign-off on the content. If we're waiting on these, your timeline moves back. You confirm that any photos and material you give us are yours to use, or that you have permission to use them.

Your content and your domain

Your business information, your photos, your reviews and your domain belong to you. The domain is registered to or clearly controlled by you, and you get a written ownership and handover arrangement. That's the whole point of a Digital Foundation.

The underlying website theme and the system we build on stay ours. You're licensed to use them for your site for as long as you're a client. You're free to move your content and domain elsewhere if you ever leave.

Hosting and your monthly plan

On a package with a monthly fee, we host and maintain the site as part of that fee. If you cancel, you can give us one month's notice. After that we'll help you move the site to your own hosting where the platform allows it, or the hosted version will be taken offline. Your domain and content remain yours either way.

If a monthly payment is missed and stays unpaid after a reminder, we may pause the hosted site until it's brought up to date.

Booking and other third-party services

Your site may connect to booking platforms (such as LatePoint, Fresha or Booksy), Google, payment providers or other tools. These are run by other companies under their own terms and pricing, and we don't control them. We set up and connect them, but we're not responsible for their availability or their charges.

Timelines

Any timescale we give is an estimate. Most builds are ready within a few weeks once we have your content and photos. Delays usually come from waiting on material, so the more complete your information, the faster it goes.

Results

A website gives people somewhere convincing to land and book. It doesn't control how many people search for you, and we can't promise a set number of enquiries, bookings or a particular position in Google. What we can do is build the site properly and set up the search basics. Growth beyond that is what our other services are for.

Liability

We take care over our work, but we don't accept liability for lost profits, lost bookings or other indirect losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you've paid us for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a project before we start and we'll refund anything you've paid. Once work has started, the deposit covers the time already spent and isn't refundable. If we've completed a stage, that stage is payable.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services change. The version that applies to your project is the one in place when you accepted your proposal. The date at the top shows when this page last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
